SIGNAL MOUNTAIN FIRE DEPARTMENT

          
                               
The Signal Mountain Fire Department provides a broad range of emergency and non-emergency services and programs to educate and protect the lives and property of our community and visitors.

The Signal Mountain Fire Department offers a career fire department that operates out of 2 stations.  3 administrative personnel and 24 suppression personnel staff 2 stations.  Station #1 staffs 1 engine and 1 ladder, Station #2 staffs 1 engine. These stations provide around the clock emergency services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.  

The Department offers a full range of Fire, Emergency Medical, Vehicle Rescue, Rope/Technical Rescue and hazardous materials mitigation services to the area. The department also provides Public Education and Prevention activities to the community as well as a commercial building fire inspection program and upon request, also provides emergency services to areas outside the Town through mutual aid.

The Signal Mountain Fire Department maintains an Insurance Service Office (ISO) rating of 2. A fire department’s ISO rating is a determination by the Insurance Services Office by how efficiently the department is able to serve the community. A score is assigned between 1 and 10, with lower numbers indicating a better score.
